Building your own Computer

I am low on the money funds right now, lot's of stuff to pay for besides a new computer. I want an "ultimate gaming rig" as they say, and was wondering if building my own would be cheaper than buying one through Dell or alienware (since those can get pretty expsensive).

if anybody has any experience with this (i am relatively new at building comps) or a link that has a guide or something, that woudl be very helpful. thanks.

number number number, annoying as they may be, the first step is to make sure they match. fo starters i would say build a cheap comp first, so if u mess up an upgrade will fix it quick
