Bulldog Broadband?

For the 8meg £9.95 one... it has a 1gig cap per month. And you have to pay extra for whatever else you use... which is probably over-priced. A 1gig cap on an 8meg line... you could use that up in like an hour.

ive heard bad things about bulldog, especially about their customer service

Yeah, i found that a bit weird. Its not sounding good, so far.
SHIPPI, let us know how things get on with bulldog and what package you went for.

Anyone else had a good/bad experience with them?

Me too, doesn't anyone watch watchdog? There are so many people who signed up, didn't get the speeds, or didn't work at all. Engineers never come to fix things. Its near impossible to contact them. They also continue taking out monthly bills despite cancelling the subscription.

They say they are fast...at taking your money and leaving you high and dry.

edit: example from googling watchdog bulldog broadband.

well my experience with Bulldog has (thusfar) been mostly ok. Some lag spikes, and such. But for a year it's working well.

One gripe, however, is that I emailed them asking to upgrade to 2mb/s (read below), and they haven't sent me an email back saying they will or wont.
Also I'm currently on 1mb/s and it's £30 a month. compare that with their new 2mb/s service which is £25 a month. Their existing customer service sucks total and utter bollocks.

You can get a much better service with other ISP's. I don't recommend Bulldog.

I have the Bulldog £29.50 package, 8mg, no caps.

Activating the internet was ****ing nightmare, I didn't have the internet for 2 weeks (I really needed it that time too) until it finally got activated - they blamed it on freeserve. They also some how managed to give me the wrong package aswell; but that got upgraded to the £29.50 package in a few hours.

The customer service is really shit, hard to get through to anyone. The internet has been fine so far, apart from me getting speeds no higher then 500kb/s - I'm not sure if its there fault or what. There were 2 days where I got d/c every 30 min and it was frickin' frustrating. I'm still not sure if I'll stay on with the Bulldog package, if I have no more probs, I might just stay on.

A 1gig cap on an 8mb modem is totally useless.

Some will say that if you're not downloading illegal warez then the 1gig cap is perfectly fine, but if you're just going to be browsing websites then why do you need anything more than a 1mb?

I'm on Blueyonder. It was £25 a month for 512k, but over the years they've upgraded us for free and I'm now on 4mb for the same price. No caps, good service.

BT aren't too shabby either, I'm on a 2mb with a 30gig cap per month. All for £30.

Bulldog is the worse ISP I've ever used.

My line drops constantly and their customer service dept. is none existent.
