Bullet decal bug thingy

Hello all, before I get flamed, yes I have reported this bug and looked through the steam forums for fixes but no one seems to have the same problem.
-> whenever I (or any1 else) shoots a wall/floor/tire etc random "bullet holes" turn into big white squares.

If any1 knows what the problem is or how to fix it that'd be great.
I think I've attached a screenshot of the bug.

Try with mp_decals 0 and r_decals 0 to see if the problem persists.

check that thread out, this guy is having similar problems and possible fixes are given there already.
