My favorite Halo map is coming to Halo3! Awesome :D

It's coming in a pack of three, April 15, 800 points.

This will be the first time I ever actually buy a map pack, since this is a map I've been waiting for years for. And hopefully the old pack will go free around that date, so I'll have tons of new Halo 3 maps to play :)
 
This news does not warrant a new thread. Also, how many dollars is 800 microsoft points? Seems dodge if you ask me.(i'm talking more about the concept of paying actual money for a handle of maps/songs/items in games that should be downloadable for free dagnamit)
 
Bad luck to Bungie, having to introduce old content to make Halo 3 a half decent game.
 
That's funny, Naph, considering that even without the remake Halo 3 is top of the Live charts.

I have no problem paying for the maps. Someone spent a lot of time and effort to make all three of them, why should I have them for free? Not that its their call anyway, but all the same, I don't see what the big deal is. (I don't feel this way on music - an expression - so much so don't use this against me when it comes down to buying/not buying - that's another topic for another day)

I'm also dead excited for it as I loved Sidewinder, and the Hornet is bring brought into play, albiet toned down a bit. Still, can be used for transport. :D

Even if they, like I, enjoy Half-Life 2? Or in general they like a lot of games that you might happen to like, regardless of the console? Because god forbid someone likes a game other than the one you or someone else happens to dislike. That'd call for some sort of... some sort of... rash judgement!

Stop with the generalizations. Don't like it? Leave it.

Halo 3 has good multiplayer. The rest of it is quite boring. And if you hate these kids that play, why not just play with your friends, or peope on hl2.net? I've even found bitches who are older, as old as you guys. Douchebags come in all ages!
 
I'd say Halo 3 is the current best console online FPS.

The rest of it fails.
 
Jesus if you guys don't care about Halo 3, don't clutter the thread about how it's "pure shit", which it is not. It's not the best (especially in SP), but MP is really fun when you're playing with all of your friends.

While some may not like the concept of DLC, it's the future. It's the best way to keep a dev interested in producing content for the game. You pay $10 and get three new maps, and then they are also making the old map pack free. The old model was to release an expansion pack at like $30 or $40. I like paying $10 if anything, or just wait a few months for it to become free.

So if you hate buying, don't get it and just wait a few months and it's free. But Sidewinder was one of the best maps on Halo 1, so that's why I'll more than likely pick this up the first day.

In a nutshell: Trolls, gtfo. This isn't a discussion on how great/shitty you think Halo is.
 
We're spoilt by Valve giving us updates for free (even if they do suck sometimes *coughepisodeonezombiebattlecough*)

Oh my god, I loved that level, i remember getting to the top of that level with my friends and throwing stickies that stopped right in front of your face and didn't explode.

Good news - Sidewinder was a fun map. Having to pay is pretty crap, but whatever. For the record I enjoyed Halo 3 and that includes the singleplayer.

As much as I don't like Halo (I'd rather go play Star Wars Battlefront, it's practically identical but set in a better storyline), you guys are being sh*theads. He made a thread because a map is being remade. Why must you troll?

They're remaking Carentan? I knew of the 4 maps being remade so far - which one is it? The videos aren't the best.

Their artists need something to do before working on CoD-NextEvenNumber takes place, I suppose.

Also, oooh burn Halo 3, IW's map pack is also 800 points (10 bucks?) and has four maps :eek:.
 
You guys act as if DLC is the only thing Bungie has given players. For christ sake they gave them Forge, which although there is a lot of crud to wade through, there are some gems out there that keep you entertained for a surprisingly long time. They are free, and more and more are constantly being made.
