Im trying to burn a 7GB ISO file onto a Philips Double Layer DVD+R disc

When I put the disc in WindowsXP doesnt recognise it. MagicISO also says theres no disc in the DVD Drive??

I use Dvd Decryptor personally.

You'll have to find it since I think no new releases are being made.

And umm, it's probably not that Windows doesn't recognize it, it's probably that your DVD device doesn't recognize it.

think your right.. I dont have Dual Layer DVD Writer :-(. Theres no 'DL' on the DVD Tray

Check the specifications of your DVD writer and see what it can support.

I personally use an LG 4163B and I have never had problems with it. I love it.

it burned fine on another PC whch had a dual layer dvd-witer... BUT the DVD only plays on that DVD Writer now... it wont pick up on mine, is it because mine isnt Dual Layer?

that'l explain it, oh well time tio get Dual Layer DVD Writer, they quite cheap now for about ?30

Dual layer DVD's are expensive anyways, at least back when I bought a pack of 3 I think it was. I only used one of them. Haven't touched the other 2. If I remember correctly it was like, 20-25 bucks or so. Could of gotten 100 quality ritek dvd-r ones for that.

Again, it depends on what content you're working on that you need a dual layer or not.

yeah these are ISO files weighing in at around 7GB so I need Dual Layer DVD-R.... unless theres a way to split the ISO??

I dunno what your intentions are for the ISO file, but couldnt you create a virtual drive to run the ISO file?

I could but im running out of disk space so Im planning on burning the 30GB worth of ISOs I have
