Can you say, class? ;)
I knew this game would rock, and was in my wishlist for quite some time.

That's strike 2 for HL2, I have money left for only four games left this year - Fable, Doom 3 and burnout 3 seem to have taken their spots - that leaves space for one. And let's not forget that halo 2 already has my intrest more so than ever, due to valve's frolics...

Ive been playing the demo for ps2 for quite some time...its simply outstanding for a ps2 :D

Loved Burnout 2, especially the crash-mode.

Burnout 3 looks superior. Can't till I get the game on the 16'e. :)

Yeah I loved Burnout 2, and I still play it today but I havent yet tried out B3. Seems like alot of people are liking it

lans...if you want to spend your last game on halo 2..be my guest. we'll all be here though enjoying hl2 long after halo 2 dies...which should be right around its release date.

Hmm...Damn good games coming out all in a few months...taking my money.

-Fable
-Burnout 3
-Halo 2
-HL2
-Possibly GTA:SA

Bleh...I need to get a job asap.

I can't wait for this.

Edge gave it 9/10 btw :)

XBox Live, a few mates, and crash mode. Oh yes \o/

I didn't like 1, kind of liked 2, but apparently will love 3.

I think he was responding to that, rather than a random spout from nowhere

Oh.....I didn't read that. I see now. Still, not really a reason to come in and start flaming Halo 2 in a Burnout thread.

I didn't flame Halo 2. But HL2 is more bang for your buck. 3 games, plus mods in the future. As opposed to dual weapons.

Halo 2 will have mods as well chief.

When it hits the PC in 2005, I'm sure it will. I still havent seen a decent mod for Halo so I'm a bit speculative on that.

I dunno why, but I was always a Gran Turismo fan more than Burnout or NFS fan. I like realism in my racers I guess. :) Burnout 3 definately sounds like one hell of a game though, i'll check it out.

I think straight out of the box Halo 2 will offer better 'bang for your buck'. While not to everyone's taste, Halo offered a good single player campaign, multiplayer and co-op. The sequal looks to do the same (co-op alone should last years) So far we've seen little of HL2 other than the single player game (albeit amazingly impressive :) ) Sure, CS:S uses the engine - but imo that doesn't make it 'HL2'.

I'm not trying to make this a vs thread, and i'm sure various mods on Source will be around long after Halo 2. But if we're just comparing game for game - I think HL2 will have a more engaging and immersive single player experience while Halo 2 will offer a far greater challenge and more substance/playtime/variety (which is the case with the original HL and Halo, imo)

Of course, all of this is complete speculation :) The only thing for certain is that both games are an absolute must for a fps fan.

I loved Burnout 2, but I only have a GameCube, and I'm afraid that Burnout 3 won't come to GameCube. Can someone confirm if it does or not?

Suit yourself man. I'm getting both games without a doubt, but now, after playing CS:S i TOTALLY can't wait to start making a mod for HL2, after finishing the SP campaign of course. I sure hope Halo 2 fixes all the problems of the original.

anyway Burnout 3 looks awesome
They had a copy of it down at Blockbuster today but it had already been rented out :(

I didn't like PS2 games. My mate had a PS2. I played Burnout 2, I played a lot, I liked much.

Yes, only PS2 and X-Box.

BurnOut 3 looks cool, but I'm more excted on FlatOut. It looks so fun, and the fact that the driver is physically simulated makes alone the game worth the money.
