Dems say too little, too late

President Bush today accepted responsibility for the failure to control his bladder during a U.N. Security Council meeting. Democrats were quick to criticize the President.
"Well, I'm absolutely appalled at the utter lack of bladder control. Anyone attending a meeting like this should know to go to the little boys room beforehand. It's just another symptom of a larger problem," said Senator Kennedy, interviewed in a stall of the Senate men's room.
White House spokesman Scott McClellan downplayed the incident, stating, "Hey, when you gotta go, you gotta go."
The Rev. Jesse Jackson, in a hastily organized press conference, decried the incident as another example of institutionalized racism, citing the fact that Secretary-General Kofi Annan, a black man, was speaking when this occurred.
"Even the President's bladder is racist," exclaimed Jackson.

The white parts of the picture were overexposed, so a Reuters processor used Photoshop to burn down the note. This is a standard practice for news photos, Hershorn says, and the picture was not manipulated in any other way.
