Bush vetoes legislation that would have banned waterboarding.

And right he is. Waterboarding is a fun sport, especially when the waves are really high.

Ah good old bush, what will he do next? Ban stem cells and allow everyone to have nukes?

Piggy, will he detain all the people who do not agree with him?
Most likely the conspiracy theorists, first off?
And next, the constitutionalists and antifashists.
Because they make those insidious claims of him creating a domestic surveillance apparatus, military domination overseas and making the US a corporate benificial fortress of the military industrial complex?

He doesn't even have to veto it, all he had to do was sign it and not follow it.

Is anyone surprised?

Its a good thing the man is getting kicked out of office. We can only hope that the democrats win this year.

President Bush on Monday defended U.S. interrogation practices and called the treatment of terrorism suspects lawful. ?We do not torture,? Bush declared in response to reports of secret CIA prisons overseas. - Nov 2005

riiiight

anyways I doubt the practice will stop regardless what party is in office ..it's been in use for a long time and is part of the field manuals on torturing/interrogating suspects

...specifically the Kubark interrogation manual which was written during JFK's reign

and the Human Resource Exploitation Training Manual which has been in use since 1983

This is a big no-no and is pretty bad. I don't care what religion you have but this puts another black stain on him. Some day when he goes to heaven, he will be judged. How can anybody deal with the conscious of knowing they might be torturing innocent souls? He should be tried for crimes against humanity. Saddam tortured people and so is Bush. :frown: Also it disgusts me on how he defended it for saving my butt. My cost of freedom is due to innocent people getting tortured.

Does this mean Bush is silly?
I'm sure we didn't know that.

I'm surprised I continue to be shocked whenever I hear stupid things Bush has done. It's a commonplace, but it always catches me off guard.

He should be arrested and tried against an international court for crimes against humanity.

<readies his genocide blade>

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

it doesnt give you permission to kill shedloads of people ..there would have to be a declaration of war between nations for you to be exempt ...without a declaratin you're just a murderer like Jim Jones or OJ

Yeah, go to Iraq, THEN kill shedloads of people.

nah that wouldnt make him exempt from war crimes ...no his best bet is joining the US military

:E

I want to graduate in the torture university
