Buy Menu Frozen or Sampling Walkspace

From time to I'll get one of two errors when trying to play CS:S.

The first is a map will load, drop me into it, and then a progress bar with the caption "Sampling Available Walkspace" will supermipose on the screen. The progress bar will fill, empty fill repeat.

The Second is once the map is loaded and I try to buy my weapons for the round. The screen will freeze with the window open, and unless someone kills me that round, all subsequent rounds are afflicted with the frozen screen.

In both cases only killing my steam session and rebooting my PC will fix the problem.

Anyone else see these bugs or now how to cure them?

that's not a bug. You just don't have a nav file for that map you were playing.

That explains the sampling available walkspace issue, but not the buy menu thing, which happens on various maps.

i have the buy problem before all u do is press 0 for it to exit and what they said about sampling walkspace is just the map creating a nav. file for the bots to use
