Buying Refurbished Hardware

I'm thinking about selling my shite Acer Aspire and moving onto a macbook. I have never purchased anything that has been refurbished, I guess I like that new car smell, except it's not usually a car.

Anyway, what is the overall consensus? Is it worth the price reduction? From what I've read It supposedly comes with a year warranty...from the apple store that is.

I'm sorry but Aspires aren't shit. I've got an Aspire 5050 and it's been serving me well for over 2.5 years.

As for your actual question you'd get over the 'new hardware' feeling soon anyway, and if a Macbook is what you want, then go ahead. I'm not sure of both prices, what are they for a new macbook and a refurb one?
