i boguht CZ through steam, i didnt get a product code (cd key) in email or anything, hopefully they will keep track by my steam ID that i actually bought it (allowing me to play CS:S of course) but shouldnt they send me one just in case something bad happens? guys let me know if theres a way to figure out my cd key, thanks.

No CD-Key for a Steam purchase. There's no need for one.

CD-Keys are used to authorise a Steam subscription on an account. In your case, your credit card purchase on Steam authorised your subscription.

Your purchase is connected to your Steam account, so to play CZ you just need to logon to your Steam account.

i know that but i am being paranoid that it wont let me play CS:S unless i use a key, some people are saying you have to type in your cd key or some other such crap

next time don't put your CC in steam, how many people try and hack that? o.O

I doubt it that you'd have to put in your CD-Key to play CS:S.

The way it works is that you subscribe to bundles, like the CZ bundle, or the Platinum Pack (what you get with a HL CD-Key) or the Premier Pack, or the Ati key bundle.

So, what they do is add the CS:S beta to the CZ bundle, and the ATi bundle.

Well, this is how I reckon it works anyways. It would make sense for it to work that way, and that seems consistent.

And according to Chris Bokitch, who's a Valve guy, they don't store CC numbers on their own system. They use a bank service like other online retailers like Amazon.
