Cable handle two playing CS?

My friend has Cable and I plan on taking my PC to his house this weekend so me and him can both play together. We are planning on sharing the cable connection to play online. Will Cable handle both at the same time without any lag? Lag sucks. I was thinking it could but I just want to make sure.

Aye, you should be fine. 1MB ADSL can handle 2 players on pretty much any game.

When I had 3MB RR Cable 3-4 people were playing different online games at once and some of the other people living here were on the internet, no lag at all.

Sweet, what would be the best way to network them together. Would I need a router or a switch to share the cable connection? Also, if yall had to guess what would our pings be while playing? Maybe 100?

Router. And your pings wouldn't change much from what they are with one person, because half your connection is hardly taken up anyway.
