calc_triangle_representation error?

hi, it´s me again :upstare:

here´s a strange error appearing at the vsbp.exe step in my compiling process. i haven´t found any information about that issue so i have to ask here.

-1.049033 -3.207047 0.000000

1.015345 -3.207047 0.000000
make_triangles:calc_triangle_representation: Cannot convert

these are the only coordinates the logfile comes up with.

what am i to do now?

another map i´ve started comes up with exactly these coordinates :flame:

there is no object at the given coordinates.

any idea?

this is strange that it would appear in the same place.

I can't reproduce this error.
try making a box level. (no hollow or carve)

then see if that error shows up again.

not really understanding the engine yet I am thinking that you are probley using the carve tool and somehow botched some leaf_nods

try making just a box level (6 brushes floor, walls and ceiling) drop a light and player_start and see if the compile shows this error.
if it does then you know it's not the level design but something wrong with hammer or vrad.
 
thanks but there is no other error in the compile log. i was working several days on the map and the compiler has worked good in any previous compile. pointfile is flawless.
 
I have the same error. I don't know what it means either, but my map still works just fine. I hope the error is nothing serious, because I am almost finished.
 
same prob

i've got the same problem, but with other coördinates :D
if i try to run the map, hl2 says the map is to large, but if i compile without the visgroup entities, it works without any problem (only there are no info_player_start entity's)
