They could add some variety and decent fighting ;)
 
true crime 2 ? let's hope they actually check it for bugs/get a decent coder.
 
They said Call of Duty was the 1st of a series about the great conflicts of the XX century.
 
My God! A sequel to a game that was considered good and sold well?
Why must they always make sequels and expansions to good games? Why can't they just all be like Valve and leave it at just the original game?
But really, I'm glad to see that they plan to keep the series going. Now I'm just curious what they want to do with it.

I think they said they had plans for 7 games. It's a shame they don't put their talent to creat a original fps instead of the damn WWII theme, seriously I didn't even wan't to buy thefirts part just because I'm sick of WWII, eventually I did borrow it from a friend an played it through and played it, but still would not buy it cause I;m getting sick of WWII shooter and RTSgames, I mean if you must do a WWII game atleast do something original.
 
I think that was sarcasm...

Call of Duty was really successful.. so was Half Life. Making a sequel would certainly net them a lot of money. Lets just hope that the sequel is a good game.
 
I hope it's a vietnam game... there is SUCH a lack of good vietnam games seriously..

I also hope it uses source or UE3
 
Battlfield Vietnam had its moments though i fealt the gameply to get quit boring and annoying at times! I feal that nothing could beat Vietcong when it comes to a fps in Vietnam!
 
TO many war games. I mean call of duty had a cool intro mission and all. BUt they are all the same. Same old war story's. Find them very boring we need more fantasy and future settings :)

Hopefully, Mars. Replace soldiers with the doom marine, and have it use the doom 3 engine... :eek:

A good ww2 fps is fun to play, too bad CoD was so short, i wonder how
brothers in arms will be.
It should be released in February maybe, the videos looks great.
 
Call of Duty II will prolly be more of the same, only with better graphics. I'm guessing they're going to the Pacific too, just like MoH.

They wont be getting my money again. The sp was way too short and the mp is completely "AWFUL". DOD plays way better than COD mp.
 
Well the MP was good for someone, because theres still a hell of a lot of people who play it like mad.

Hooray, the Falklands war! I won't bad-mouth it lest I get flamed for being unpatriotic.

I'm so bored of WW2 games it's insane. It's the laziest way to create a game ever, especially now it's been done to death.
CoD was good because: it didn't just deal with a Yank perspective - you mean there was more than one nation in the Allies!? Good GOD! - in contrast to MoH:AA (which was wank); the set pieces were slightly more dramatic than, say, MoH:AA (which was wank); you weren't always a one man army, unlike MoH:AA (which was wank).
Other than that, you're on shakey ground with WW2. So move on to pillage other wars! Who needs imagination.

Really? Well, re-read it and replace the word "wank" with the words "bad", "piss-poor", "disappointing", "over-rated" or all of the above and my point still stands.
 
I reckon CoD 2 will either have a North African or a Pacific setting. It'll definitely be in WWII. Just a guess tho ;)
 
I think I'm the only one who cant get enough of ww2 games ..they should ALL be world war 2 games ..nothing but, yup I would be happy

I want less scripted gameplay and maybe something ground breaking like GTA ww2 style ..just think of the posibilities!
 
I have no problem with World War II games, and I have a genuine interest in the time period, but the games have to be good.
Lets face, they could make WWII games forever and keep being original, since the conflict took place all over the world.
 
I'm all for WW2 games - but pls no more MoH's and CoD's. These are exremely average games, scripted borathons at best :/

(imagine a title on par with HL2 or Golden Eye concerned with WW2 tho - now that would be special)

Call of Duty was one of the most compelling games I've ever played. It certainly schooled MoH.
I certainly hope they keep rehashing it with newer and better technology.

And I certainly dont want it to be a Vietnam game. I want to fight a war I can believe in. WWII was one of the most awesome and heartwrenching conflicts ever seen on this earth. The men who fought in WWII, from all of the Allied nations, are absolute heroes.

I'm looking forward to Band of Brothers, however. That might give CoD a run for its money.

Oh right. Band of Brothers was that TV series. :D

But I think I probably would have figured that one out when checking out the system requirements ;)
