Call of Pripyat Full translation

Oh wow, thanks. I'll try it later.

I've been ignoring the helicopters and doing only side missions.

What are the notable differences in gameplay in Call Of Pripyat compared to previous STALKER games?

Do they finally have the weapons ejecting their cartridges on the correct side?

Yes because that is a deal breaker. No correct cartridge ejection, no purchase.

How is CoP compared to the other 2 in the series? , it sounds allot smaller than Shadow of Chernobyl.

In terms of raw area size, it's about three Marshlands plus two undergrounds.

Content wise, there's no contest here: Call of Propyat is absolutely the richest and most awesome STALKER game yet. More unique locations, unique quests, revamped upgrade system, good storyline, characters etc.

And the atmosphere is superb.

Whenever I replay the first game with various mods, I spend most of the time messing around in the first 3-4 zones anyway, so that sounds ok.

Will it be worth it just waiting for the Official English translation?

Yes because that is a deal breaker. No correct cartridge ejection, no purchase.

No need to be a condescending jerk, I was simply asking a question because that was one of the more visual things that always annoyed me in the previous games, I mean it makes no sense to have the cartridges eject into your face.

Anyway if STALKER: CoP is still as reliant as the original was on scripted quests etc, without all that much fun to do outside of that(without mods), then I won't buy CoP.

I was just hoping Mikael could post a more elaborate explanation of the things that are new in CoP, as in more detailed than simply better quests etc, why are they better, what makes'em better, what makes it worth to pay full-price for CoP when it, from what I've gathered, re-uses a substantial amount of content from the original, which is over 3 years old now?

Look, I don't mean to bash or anything, I was just one of the few people on here that had been a long-time STALKER fan(Since 2002) and was very disillusioned when it came out, and I wanted to know if there's any reason for me, generally having felt that STALKER was a 7/10 game, to buy CoP?

STALKER to me was only a slightly above average game, not great by any means.

But then again, part of that was the fact I followed the game for 5 years, and saw all the lying the devs did, how much stuff that had been promised even just less than 4 months before release, that was never implemented.

So where can you buy the Russian version in the US for a reasonable price? I'm dying to play this.

lol sorry, I was in a mischievous mood :D

It's okay, I still love you!

And yes I did try STALKER with mods but lost patience after the promised free-roam patch from GSC that would remove all story-elements and open up all areas from the get-go, never materialized.

Good news, that's basically what COP is. You can ignore the story completely and go wherever you want, there are 70 scripted missions. Also, I believe you can still free roam after the story is over.

Bluh screw it, definitely not gonna waste my cash on it, especially not until they publish the official English translation, not in the mood to import a bloody PC game!

Pardon the noob here... are you able to purchase a Russian version in the U.S. (and just live with the foreign language), or did you manage to play it via other methods?

It's on it's way to the U.S. though, right?

I have a friend who imported a Russian version for himself.

Crazy guy. I love him.

The US version will appear next year. Importing from either Germany or Russia is the only option right now.

Why does nowhere sell Clear Sky anymore? I can't find it anywhere!

That would great if I had broadband and a credit card.

It's not worth your time.

oh you fag, you got me this time!

Crazy guy. I love him.
I always had my suspicions about your romantic and sexual preferences Mika!

Anyway, let's get some constructive criticism of Mika's translation of Cop going, anyone used it yet?

And by constructive I of course mean abso-****ing-lutely ruthless!
