My school decided to buy a DDR mat because we abuse our keyboards with Stepmania all day :)

I only played DDR with a keyboard before so I really dont know what is good and what is not, so i was hoping you guys could help me out.

Anyone know a good mat for about $65? We might get 2 if its really cheap :)

What's a ddr keyboard? Tried googling and found nothing.

Do you go to the private school or something, or schools in Sweden are so damn rich to buy stuff just so students can play DDR?

Also, I find it funny that you play DDR and watch anime at the same time, it’s like one big stereotype. But hey, at least you got cool bike, and people with cool bikes kick ass no matter how geeky they are.

I think the schools probably are quite rich. If they are state run anyway, since they have high taxes there. Quite a well run infastructure actually.

Hell yeah! ... wait... umm

I go to a privete school but i dont know if its the same as it is in the US or UK. A privete school (which is free) gets money from the goverment for how many students they have (like a normal school) but they work like a company (they gotta have income).. dont really know how they do it but private schools (in my opinion) are much better than normal school, better teachers, smaller (200 students in my school), and they listen to what the students what (we forced them to add Japanese.. and yes, Mr Reak, you can add that to your list :))

Oh, just to brag (I like that), we get a laptop for free too when we start :P

Back on topic again, anyone know a good mat?

Fraid I just stick Double Data Rate stuff in my computer, don't dance on it ;(

You can get a good mat for like $20. Find out if they sell "Logic3 Dance Mat" in Sweden (in Finland you can get it for 20e). It's really good imho (I don't know much about other mats but the ones I've seen/tried have been crap :P)

The mat is for Playstation2 (like most(if not all) mats) so you need that ps2->usb adapter for it (costs here like 15-25e). To most adapters you can put 2 mats/ other controllers in the same adapter =] When searching for the adapter, try findng out if it has a proper dance mat (calibration)support. Otherwise you might not be able to press certain arrows at the same time (a major problem).

Finally, normal "home mats" are not good for 9-footer songs (the super fast and hard ones) because the sensors in the mats will eventually break. If you become that good and want to play the hard ones, just go to those real dance machines often found at movie theatres and such places (usually they cost a bit).
