for you slack jawed yokels who dont know who bran mak morn is:

Bran Mak Morn is a hero of several pulp fiction short stories by Robert E. Howard. [creator of Conan] In the stories, most of which were first published in Weird Tales, Bran is the last king of Howard's romanticized version of the tribal race of Picts.

the setting is about the time of christ

one of his stories includes references to the necrinomicon and the Cthulhu's myth ..which is understandable because he was a friend of HP lovecraft and they often exchanged characters in a few short stories

Ohhh sounds interesting. I love me some Howard adaptations, though I haven't read much of the Bran stuff.
Think your imdb link needs fixed though Stern.

fixed. I was reading up on the director of very bad things, Peter Berg and noticed he was working on it

[strike]FROWN[/strike] [strike]FONG[/strike] WRONG FORUM

EDIT: So anyway I actually like the sound of this.

you really should read Howard's short stories. he was an excellent storyteller

Peter Berg, director of Hancock, would be directing the next Dune film. He is quoted as having 'seen more action in it' [than Lynch's film]. I find this wholly unacceptable.

he also made Very Bad Things which is awesome however I dont think Dune needs more action, in fact it's probably unfilmable if they strictly adhere to the novel. it would be several hours long

He also made Friday Night Lights and got Explosions in the Sky to do the soundtrack for it. That more than makes up for Hancock.

Hancock is that very very strange anamoly. The kind of film that comes along with an original idea, an extremely talented bunch of artists (Will Smith, Charlize Theron, Jason Bateman, Vince Gilligan the creator and head writer of Breaking Bad and the aforementioned Peter Berg) that still turns out to be complete shit. Seriously, what are the odds of that?
