camcorder version of Star Trek teaser trailer on youtube

I can indeed confirm that this is the trailer in front of Cloverfield.

Looks interesting.

I've never been a fan of star trek myself but I still might actually see this.

Hmmm, rather grimier than usual. The aesthetic looks vaguely Alien-ish.

I suppose this could be good.

It appears as though the crew is still on Earth and they are showing the construction of the ship. Then they compare you know, the trip to the moon, etc with the trip to the "final frontier" aka space beyond the moon.

I saw that trailer in the theatre and I was in awe :)

I loved it, and can't wait for the movie.

I thought so to, which makes me wonder why they didn't just make an aliens movie, or an original movie, I mean, I am really losing patience with Hollywood's obsession with taking perfectly fine old things, and then utterly butchering it to be something it isn't and was never meant to be. I know, its such a stupid thing to get annoyed over and I'm not even a Trekkie but there you have it.

I still haven't forgiven the remake of The Italian Job.

"Oh hai, lets take dis classic british movie and leik totally ****ing ejaculate our stupid Hollywood American cum all over it, defacate a little, splosh some pretty colours and pretty faces onto it, and release!".

;(

Yeah, saw this in front of Cloverfield.

Looks pretty cool, but as a trekkie I'm a bit muffed by the fact that they're buildling it on Earth. They would have built something that huge in space. They built the Enterprise (from the last series, at least) in space, so I would imagine they would build the next one in space as well.

Aaah, that latest one made more sense. I was going to say, "yeah, talk about a teaser...", I couldn't see anything >,<

That sounds like Leonard Nimoy :O

I don't mind the remake. Have you seen the latest Trek affairs?

They can't make it any worse.

They can't make it any worse.

Actually, Voyager was about as bad as it could get. Enterprise was alright but Voyager just ass-****ed the franchise too much, it was beyond repair. What they shouldn't have done is let Ronald D Moore quit. That man was sorely needed, he'd have run Enterprise the way it should have been run and would have bitch-slapped the Voyager writing staff into collective suicide after carving the words "Reset Button" on their forheads with their own pens.

I thought voyager was the best series to be honest.

Then again it brings back nostalgiac memories from my childhood.

The original series is just funny to watch. TNG comes a very close second. DS9 was bloody awful, and enterprise was even worse.

I was actually meaning the movies, you know? Did you see Insurrection or Nemesis?

You.

You don't get any opinions from now on.

[edit] never mind

Oh. Yeah those sucked. First Contact was ****ing ace but Insurrection was bad and Nemesis... jesus H Christ... made by a guy who had never even seen Star Trek before, didn't know which character was human or alien and disregarded the fact that Data already had a brother.

You've got things backwards.
Apart from Enterprise, it was bad.

Please, Voyager was the best. Enterprise was by far the worst one. It was so bad I couldn't watch more than two episodes. And that god awful opening song? Ugh.

Truth. I know almost nothing about star trek but I did manage to see nemesis and I didn't have a ****ing clue what was going on.

Jesus Zombie Christ, what is with these people who like Voyager? Did you watch it when you were eleven and stupid or something?
