I was wondering I have a G-force 3 graphics card, am I going to be able to play Half-life 2 ? please help me out

yes ashton you will be able to play, but it might not look that great.

You can play it...albeit not very well with high detail. And don't expect ANY DX9 graphical features. I'd recommend you investing ALL your money in an ATI card....forget processor of memory...focus on a new video card for right now.

still with the physics and all of that you should still be sure to run the game with a sizeable cpu and ram amount to compensate if you choose not to upgrade....just a friendly advice ;)

You can play it on a geforce two but it just wont look the same. I would upgrade if you can. I have a feeling it wil be worth it.

BTW, I'M BK. heheh, for those who remember me, HI!

I moved house recently and this is my first time bk online. So hi.
Btw, what steam vids are out atm. The last one i dled was barracade

Have I missed anything else important.

Please do tell!!!!

Forgive my noobness, but I have a GeForce 4 Ti4200. I looked at the benchmarks and it said something like the GFX 5900 had FPS 10? Was that running it at max settings? i.e. if i'm using a GeForce 4 Ti4200 at 1024x768 will I get a decent FPS?

yeah, i had a geforce 3 too...my new sapphire radeon 9800 pro is in the mail....:)

and welcome back marksman!!

Look at them again :)
The 5900 wasnt quite that bad, the 5600 and 5200 was however. But in DX8, G4Ti can nearly match up 5900 performance! (40 against 50 fps or something, cant remember). Though it was the Ti4600 I think. Dont know the speed differences there.

Ah okey, doesn't seem that bad then, I was worried there for a minute
