Can I have some help?

Can anyone tell me how to burn .avi, .mpeg and .wmv files on to a cd, so I can view them through a DVD player. I havn't got any money but is there a good and/or free converter to turn them into vcd or some other way I can do it? Any help would be great :cheers:

TMPGenc is the best soft for converting avi or anything else into VCD/SVCD
