Can I play world of warcraft on two different computers? (NOT simultaneously)

My brother went to a local LAN party and took our primary gaming machine with him. So being the lifeless nerd that I am, I can't live without World of Warcraf for almost 3 days and I decided to install the game on our second, a little crappier computer. So My question is, can I still play the game if I just log in with the same account?

...my brother is accidentally logged in at the moment when I log in. Will our account get banned because of suspicious usage or something?

I've never even touched WoW, but I am 100% sure it'll just say something like


"This account is already logged in. Please try at a different time."

Or something like that.


But i'm a total noob to WoW, so.. yeah

at a lan party i was at in septmeber one guy was playing and his brother logged into the account from home, the guy at the lan party got booted off..cue brother getting a phonecall

My brother and I have been doing this for a few months now since he lives at home and I live in another city for university. We just have set times we are online for. More than once however him or I have logged on while the other was playing and all that seemed to happen was we both get disconnected and have to wait minute or so before 1 of us logs on again.

While we're on the subject of accounts and such, I've discovered an interesting thing you can do.

If you have access to two accounts (a friend's or whatever), you can actually run two WoW's on one computer and play two accounts at once!

It's pretty fun actually, especially if you know someone's account who has a healer or something.

First come..first serve. Basically if your on and your brother tries to get on..your brother will get kicked off because the account is already in use.

Used to do this in the last MMO i played, it wasn't illegal but it can be an unfair advantage to others. You need a pretty good PC though or its pointless because by the time you alt-tab and the screen loads the other character to heal your main, you're probably already dead.

Unless you have 2 monitors... that would be fun.
