Can I reformat and re- download HL2?

Hello. Does any one know if I can download HL2 after I re-format my PC? I have already paid for the game, and am about half-way through, but I need / want to reformat. Will I have to pay for it again?

P.S. I tried to check if there was a thread already started, but all the titles seem to just say nonsense like -help please- etc. Not very helpful! Why do people here do that?

Yes you can download it again...you just need to have steam installed with the account that you bought hl2 with.

HAHAHA! I've been saying that all along! I don't know why they aren't made to change them.

Thanks. Of course I will have steam installed- you can't intall / download HL2 without it! Is there a way that I won't have to re-download it though? I just remembered it took a while last time. Can I make a disc to install it from?

Well, I was so clever - I bought the game on a DVD in the first place It still needs to be updated though..
