I am thinking this would allow me to replace my socket A motherboard and CPU, but keep my ram, hdds (ide), gfx (agp) etc, but also let me replace them with sata, pci-e etc, before getting a better motherboard.
im not sure is Asrock just a cheaper manufacturer to ASUS? I would recommend choosing a much high quality known board than a cheaper version look for ASUS or MSI
I beleive asrock is like Asus' budget lable. Its made by asus, but is cheap.
I would happily go for a better known maker, in fact I would never normally buy such things from cheap names, but I know of no other board that offers AGP and PCI-e. If you know of one, please link me.
The trouble is, I would much rather "upgrade" than get a new system, and as I want 939 instead of socket A and PCI-e instead of AGP, this seems to be the only way.
