I don't like having the CD in my drive so I want to play the Steam version.
My friend said he can put the Steam game files on a DVD and give it to me.
Keeping mind I registered a standard (5 CD) retail version of HL2 and Steam acknowledged that I registered a retail copy (in writing it said "retail").
Is it possible for me to use a downloaded Steam copy with my activated files and CD key?
