A few DVDs I have prompt you to install interactual software upon insertion. I just cancel out and open up my usual Corel WinDVD player/software. But then I get a message that it can't play back the protected content. So I give in and install Interactual player 2.0.

But its got some problems. First of all, it complains about having problems with the video subsystem. It also thinks I don't have a DVD encoder installed, even though I do. None of the help links work anymore. When I try to download the latest version from the site, it asks me for my email, zipcode, etc. and then introduces me to an error screen. I think, in the past, I got around that video subsystem error (don't remember how) but then the audio didn't work.

Basically its an absolute pile of crap. And I want to use something else for playing these particular DVDs. But are they set up so that nothing except interactual will play them??

I'm not that familiar with different software/hardware for playing DVDs on the computer.
