can my computer run half life 2

im going to sell my friend my 5200 and he really loves half life
but im not sure if he can play half life 2 on his computer
so if u guys can help me out his system specs are
amd athlon xp 1700 + (clocked at 1.47ghz)
40 gig hard drive
256 mb of ram
and the nvidia fx 5200 im selling to him
so do u think he can play it

ffs another of these threads. Look mate, since you are a fresh member i will explain. The system meets minimum requirements, yes? If you don't know what they are, go to any online shopping website with the game, or even go to a high street store and look at the back. So that system DOES meet the requirements. Now we have no idea how it will perform because he could have any amount of spyware and virii, AND he could have some un-defragged harddrive with drivers from the 1990's.

Just buy the game and try, since the minimum requirements are met.
