Can somebody do me a favor?

I need to have a file scanned by any relatively new version of Norton. It's like 100 KB, no biggy, I just don't want to have to waste all of my time installing Norton just to scan one file. IM me on AIM: Mattis blah if you can. Thanks, I owe ya.

well, frankly you should have norton installed anyway, but I'm way to not even be there, and now I gotta go to sleep, whooo. on aim, send it and I'll scan >_>

well, I'm careful enough to never run any 'bad' files, I haven't had any antivirus installed in years and not once have i ever had any problems.
the way i see it, i might as well save myself the tax on my computer (scanning files in BG, having it running all the time, etc) knowing that i'll probably never run into any problems. and if by some strange chance i do, i can always reformat, everything is backed up.

umop, why not use a better anti-virus than norton?
Norton = resource hog, but both avast! and AVG AV use a minimal amount of memory for the comprehensive cover they offer

actually its just because i dont need one, even one that requires 1k of memory. i just needed to scan a file because i needed to make sure one of my programs wasn't detected by norton, not that i was planning on running a file that i was suspicious of. maybe that makes more sense.

I have a problem with AVG.......and its a prolem that pisses me off.

Every time my PC trys to go into sleep mode...this message pops up saying like, there is a Trojan in this place <shows folder> and it says...make sure you run AVG!.

So I run it...and it dosn't find anything. And the folders it says theres a Trojan in dont even exist...I deleted them a long time ago.

And now my pc cant go into sleep mode automaticly because of AVG.
