Can someone help me with my desktop?

I want to spice my desktop up. Does anyone know any FREE places where I can get themes? The regular taskbar and minimize/maximize/exit bar are boring, I'd like to spice up my desktop. Anyone help?

Well you could get this thing called Window Blinds.It's free but your limited to what you can do.You have to buy it to make your own cool looking desktop.But I don't think you won't be doing that.So once you get Windows Blinds go to this website http://www.wincustomize.com there register and you can download customized desktops.Also the company that makes that is called StarDock they make other things for your desktop like that icon try from Apple OSX.and a bunch of other stuff.

You can download Aston Shell. It's a replacement of Microsoft Explorer shell. It makes the desktop look prettier and consumes less RAM.

I think that it completely changes the GUI and doesn't run in the background like Windows Blinds does.It's seems pretty good but you don't have the funcationality that Windows Blinds does.What I mean is like it gets rid of the GUI script and changes it so there no program runing in the background.While windows blinds is runing in the background and always must have the little icon near the clock.Understand?

in english, what tr0n is trying to say is, aston shell and litestep and other programs like that replace explorer.exe. in addition they use less resources and offer higher levels of customization.

i used stylexp but after a while it disabled itself and said i needed to register and pay. so I switched to WindowBlinds which works fine for me.
