I mean whitout need to send it to a specialist

I have been thinking of buying a new videocard but dont want to send it to some specialist

so is not that hard?

I have zero knowdlege of it so I dont want to try cuz I fear I may screw up things

also there is any decent cheap videocards?

though a factor would be if a videocard is what my pc needs

processor amd athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 4600+ 2.40Ghz

RAM 3,00 GB

videocard geforce 8300 gs 895 mb

so do you think videocard is the required thing to upgrade?

Yes, there is only one place they fit into on a motherboard, and you just push it in, find the right powercable coming out of your power supply if you need one, and done.

I don't know how good the 8300 is, but im betting its pretty crap. The rest of your stuff is kinda old too, but you could upgrade your video card a bit. Do you know what your motherboard is? You need to make sure you find a video card that is compatible first. Go to Start>Run then type in "dxdiag" without quotations. Tell us what it says under "System Model"

Start menu in the lower left corner of your screen, depending on your OS,in vista you can type "run" in the search bar, in xp and lower it should be in the start menu

They are very easy to install yes... You just push them in their spot they go in(carefully, making sure you were statically discharged first or wearing a static strap), attach the power cable or cables... and screw it in to your case if that's what type your case needs. some just require you put a plate back on and screw that over all the PCI stuff.

Whatever you do though... DON'T just pull it out if you have to change it. Most motherboards now have these little retention clips that prevent the video card from just being pulled out. The ones I've dealt with have been real bitches and you have to reach your fingers beneath the board, sometimes between capacitors and try to figure out which way to push it in(I can never remember) and being sure it's not a capacitor you're pushing. It is then that you simultaneously pull out the card from the case.

I hate those things.
