Can you play Half Life 2 co-op?

There is no co-op in Garrys mod, as in you don't play through the original Half-Life 2 maps. You can spawn NPC's and fight against them though.

It is possible to play through most of the single player maps in Garry's Mod, but they are glitchy as hell and it lags bad.

There is a HL2 co-op mod called Synergy, but no one seems to play it anymore, and from what I remember you can't play through the single player maps in that one.

The only promising-looking co-op mod so far is Sven Coop 2 but that is unlikely to come out in the near future. The dev team claims they can't proceed with work on the mod until Valve fixes some bugs in the SDK, so who knows when it'll come out.
