Does NERO have anything like a built in decoder?

Right since this topic relates, i got some .avi's on my pc, mostly stand up comedy which i wanna burn onto a dvd. Im getting a DVD-RW soon, what blank dvd types do i need? i have a multi-regional dvd player which i heard will play copied DVD's but is there a specific disc? any help appreciated :)

Check the box /manual/website of the dvd-burner for what discs your burner supports.
