Make a mod of a canceled game without the permission of the former developer, or does it require permission. Because weather it does or not there are still plenty of ideas people can use in their mods if they would make a mod of canceled games. There are a few canceled games that had extreme potential, but were canceled due to lack of funding or other circumstances. There are 3 canceled games that I can name off the back of my head that would have sold relatively well if released or I would have at least bought them. Here they are, I will try to post links to pics, info, and provide you with the most accurate info up until their cancelation.

Y-Project: Alright heres the quick run-through, Humans have colonized a foreign planet, durning the landing genectic experiments escape from the ship. (small insects) Soon these small insects mutate into immesense beasts that start ravaging the citys of the planet along witth it's inhabbitants. You are called by 2 factions Military and Scientist, neither knows of your occupation for the other faction.You have the decision to work for one or the other faction, which one you work for changes the weaponry, upgrades, and NPC's your player will encounter.

Okay, 1. Prey(PC,FPS) 2. Outcast 2(PC, Action/Adventure)
3. Aliens: Colonial Marines(PS2,FPS) 4. Malice(Xbox,Platformer) these are a few promising I found that have potential. I'm sure there are more.
