listened to the debate the other day ...all 3 hours of it, and I think for the most part all 4 (P Martin, duceppe, Layton and Harper) did fairly well ...although harper and layton repeated the "lets take down this corrupt government" schpiel one too many times ...Harper and the conservatives are taking the dangerous road. Harper admitted that he would call a vote to overturn same-sex marriage, beef up the military and even bring back the airborne (despite having disgraced canada) ...yet is social issues he was lacking ..I mean $1200 a year for daycare is pathetic. Layton was a little too cozy to the conservatives for my taste although when he wasnt barking up the wrong tree he did push the social issues, Martin's back was up against the wall ..and I think duceppe came across as the most rational although I was disheartened to hear that to many french canadians splitting from canada is inevitable

thoughts anyone?

I sadly missed both the french and the english debates (I really wanted to watch them as it's my first time voting and I want it to be a informed one). would any of you know a link to it availible on the net?

hmm, there was a debate?
Didn't see it, don't care!! I'm definitly not voting conservatives (yes I can vote :p) or they would pull canada to go wars alongside that crazy bush!!

I'll probaby vote liberals (or some other less-liberal party, I know there are 4 parties). I don't like liberals, but I'll probably vote for them!

i missed it :(
lately, i haven't liked the way Layton has cozied up to the conservatives as you mentioned Stern but this election is more about picking the lesser of evils...that means the Liberals or the NDP.

i've said this before and i'll say it again, if it weren't gonna be the Liberals, then one of the other parties would have a sponsership scandel on their hands so as far as Canadians are concerned, they shouldn't vote based on the scandel.
