I've never been able to find my friends game. I know this sounds simple, but it may not be. We have both been able to create servers, as well as join other peoples servers listed (in general). However, whether it be in game or through steam's gui, when we add one another's IP nothing ever comes up: filter settings have all been changed multiple times, IPs have been gathered from the developers console, as well as "WhatIsMyIp.com", firewalls have been disabled (both XP's and individual routers), even obvious server names (easy to read and on oppsing ends of the alphabet. . .like AAAAAAAAAAAAA and ZZZZZZZZZZZZ) in an effort to be easily spotted, port fowarding enabled and applied between 27001 -27015, and sv_lan 0 has been inputed: nothing. I/we never, never had this problem with the old cs and/or pre-steam days. I have to be missing something simple, because I cannot believe that it can be this difficult to connect with anyone, but especially somene specific and even with custom maps, whereas connections can be made-a-plenty in many other online games. I find very little definitive help on this subject or at least anything applicable. . .so if anyone can offer some advice, help or just point me in the right direction I would greatly apreciate it!
