Hi everybody,
I tried out the search function but didn't receive any helpful topics, so if my problem is already known, do not :sniper: me.
I got the following problems:

When I try to install HL2 from DVD, at the point when I must enter the path were the game should be installed, a message box appears which says:

Invalid script action
The script action, Get Windows Installer Property, can only be used in a script that is executed by Wise for Windows Installer

I can answer "OK" or "Cancel"."OK" leads me to an empty Messagebox and "Cancel" closes the Message Box.
When I click "Next" the Message Box appears again. The point is, I cannot proceed.

OK I thougt maybe I can go around the problem by installing only SteamInstaller (600kb).
I can install Steam but when I start it the "Updating Steam" Windows comes up but at 26%, it just closes itself. When I try it again, I got the same problem.

Well, then I downloaded the "big" Steam File (380 MB)
I can install Steam but when the "Updating Steam" Screen appears, it stops at 26% and a Messagebox with "Steam is already running" appears. I checked the Taskmanager but Steam.exe wasn't running.

Dunno how to fix the problem.
Maybe it's a virus oder some Spyware Problem.
Hope one of you guys can help me.
