I have the windows option set to view hidden files and folders, but in my temporary internet files folder, I have about 1 gig of space there apparently, that is being taken up by over 10 thousand files and 10 folders, and I cannot view ANY of them. How can I solve this problem?

Internet Options --> General Tab --> Click "Delete Files" (Under the Temp Internet Files Section) --> Check teh box to remove offline content --> OK.

That will clear out the temp internet files. If you are still having problems with the hidden files issue, then I'm not sure why it wouldn't show them. Does it show them anywhere else? You could look in the windows folder, there are bound to be hidden files in there. BTW, if you don't already know, hidden files appear as normal files but they have a slight transparent look to them.

Ahhh, so it was IE based. I havent used IE in a long time. Interesting.

That's true, it is interesting. I thought that folder should do regular cleaning from time to time. Oh well...

Yeh same here, I don't tend to use IE much, just for windows updates. I know there is an option that allows you to set the maximum disc space allowed for temp internet files. You could maybe set something up. Its just in teh same place, Internet Options --> General Tab --> Under the temp internet files, click settigns, then choose your own settings for it.

Where you set Show hidden files and folders, two down, uncheck Hide protected operating system files (recommended).

Though I dont konw if the temp internet files folder is a protected operating system folder or just a normal hidden folder. I like to have it enabled, as I like to see everything that exists on my hard drive.
