Can't add search engines to my FF

What the hell is the problem here?! I restart, open my FF, and I find out my bookmarks are gone and my search engines are royally ****ed. I tried to add engines, but that didn't work. Then I tried to copy and paste the engines I saved onto disc into the FF folder, and there are still no engines. What the **** is happening here?!

Thank you for the only serious answer Solaris, but I tried to reinstall but did not fix the problem.
