Just after downloading the recent steam update, I can only compile one time in Hammer before I have to shut down all my steam programs and start them back up which takes quite awhile. While compiling, it stops early and gives this error:
SteamStartup() failed: SteamStartup(0xf,0x12ee7c) failed with error 1: The registry is in use by another process, timeout expired
I only have Hammer and HL2 open, and even if I close HL2 the error still appears. Even after closing both, I can't reopen them until I restart Steam.
Anybody else getting this? Any solutions?
