Can't Connect

I just restarted my computer, so I was going to connect to steam, and low-and-behole, it says "Could not connect to Steam Network. This could be due to a problem with your internet connection, or with the Steam Network. Please visit www.steampowered.com for more info." What the hell? I was just on it...anyone have a suggestion? I don't have a firewall on, I repaired my connection, disabled, reenabled it, released IP settings, renewed IP settings, but still!

The Steampowered.com status page shows a dramatic drop in players and servers. I'm sure the Steam network is down. Could this be a denial of service attack?

I think everything is ok now...as soon as I saw this thread and read it(almost an hour ago),
I decided to be brave and exit steam...it took a long time to log back in but it finally did..
some info about this over at the steampowered forums..well not much really
