Can't continue hl2 installation after directX??

I just got my hl2 from bestbuy (woot!) and when i try to install it, i go through installation smoothly, then when i get to the directX part, and it sais i already have 9.0b, i click next, and i get nothing. Please respond quickly . Thanks.

If hl2 is installed and done and it just wont let u install dx 9.0b (cuz u already have it) then whats the problem?
ps. buy through steam next time

I'm not getting 5 cd's worths of a download off stupid steam when i can go a few blocks and buy it. Should i just re-install my directx drivers? Where can i uninstall them?
