Just downloaded a couple and when I select them in the menu, they do not show up, it just keeps its current one. How many files should be in the animated ones? This one had 2.

It's hard to say what you did wrong, be more descriptive, tell us what folder you place it in and what format it's in.

ok this is wat u did wrong Everything lol just messing
OK do u have adobe photoshop??? if u dont get it. id u do u get the pictures that u wanna make moving. or if it is a gif file u have to get the frames and save em all as a power of two resolution i.e. 32, 64, 128, 256 etc and the name spray001, spray002, spray003 etc. as targa format. then get a program off the net called vtex and extract the zip and read the readme file its pretty simple. BUT REMEMVER the spray has got to be under 120kb and format as vtf. good luk if u need a link to the tutorial site ask me 4 it good look and lemmie know how u get on :)

Nicely said. I'm going to try to put that into english for your viewing pleasure ^^.

Ok, this is what you did wrong; everything *laugh out loud*. Just kidding.
Do you have Adobe Photoshop? If you don't, get it. If you do, you put the pictures that you wan't to animate, into Photoshop. If it is a gif. file you have to get the frames and save them all as a power of two resolution, i.e. 32, 64, 128, 256 etc. Then change the name to spray001, spray002, spray003 etc. as a targa format. Then you need to get a program off the net called vtex and extract the zip. Don't forget to read the readme ( It's pretty simple ) BUT REMEMBER: the spray has to be under 120kb and formated as a vtf. Good luck, and if you need a link to the tutorial site, just ask me for it.
