Can't get to "Play Games"- stuck in Monitor

I was looking at the various Settings options in Steam, and set my "favourite" to Monitor. So now, when I start Steam, it's in Monitor (ie. monitoring updates, downloads and whatever.)

The problem is, the only way out is to close the window- I can't get back into Settings (to deselect Monitor) or, more importantly, into Play Games!

Anyone any idea what I can do, short of a full uninstall/reinstall?

Right click on the tray icon.

Thanks for the reply- unfortunately the tray icon wasn't appearing either.

Reinstalled steam and seems to be working OK now (I thought I'd be losing HL2, CS:S etc. by reinstalling- not as painful as I'd expected!)
