cant go through a door - need help

hi everyone!
I've encountered a very weird problem while playing the game.It happens in one of the advanced levels after I beat this big bug.
an alien opens a door and says :"the freeman must follow" and when I try to get through the door I just cant! its the same reaction as trying to go through a wall - like the door isnt there.
I've included print screen image of this.
any help would be great!

I believe you're not supposed to follow him through the door, you must follow him to the fallen antlion so he may retrieve the bug bait. If he's not moving, then you could try loading the level and beating the antlion guard again. If that doesn't work, verify your game.

I had to drag the bug with the gravity gun to him! really weird..

but now I have another problem. I found another door - just after the little camp after the previous door - and I cant open it..
what's going on?
I've included a picture of this.

Similarly, you have to follow the vortigaunt there.

Follow above steps.

Just stay a behind the Vortiguant, don't go rushing off cause sometime he won't bother following you and you need him.

for some reason the voritguant doesnt move!!
the characters in the nearby camp are moving and talking but he just stands there looking around no matter what I do...
has anyone seen this problem??

Faulty AI is often caused by an illegal copy of the game. Please verify your game files on Steam if loading the level does not move the Vortigaunt.
