Can't load Google/Gmail

For some annoying reason Google or any other search engine I can think of doesn't want to work. I can load up the Google homepage no problem, but any search just hangs and nowt 'appens. I tried to get on both Ask.com and Yahoo but no luck there either. Thinking maybe it was just Firefox I tried using IE, which actually worked fine for a couple of minutes. A few searches later and it's ****ed as well. All the other computers on my home network are working fine, so I don't think my router is the problem for once.

Annoyingly I'd usually use Google for problems like this, so I'm hoping that someone here might have a clue what's wrong.

I've ran a scan on Spybot S&D and a virus scan with AVG, which both picked up nothing.

Any ideas?
