Can't open console!

Hi everyone!

I wanted to tweak around with some of the console commands today and realised I can't open my console (and YES I have checked that lil' box in the advanced keyboard options)!
I even tried changing the console key to a different one as my laptop keyboard is german and thus a bit different but that didn't fix it either.
That's why I'm hoping that one of u guys could maybe come up with some idea!

you have to make a shortcut and add -dev -console after it.

Actually... works for me without the -dev argument... just -console....

Feel really stupid now.
I thought checking that box was enough to open console in HL2, didn't even think of adding -console in target line, like u have to do in almost every other game. Probably thought HL2 was different in that aspect, too

Anyway, thanks a lot for the fast reply!
