Cant play fear extraction point because of a stupid misstake by Sierra

Well, i got Extraction point, the US verison. I bought the first FEAR in italian by misstake and there is no patch to fix it into english. But i thought "well, the expansion is in english, so it will be allright" so when i install it tells me to update my FEAR to 1.07 "do you want to do it now?" and i click YES but NOO it then tells me i have to get the ITALIAN patch. So i go of to the net and all i can find is incresemental patches (however you spell it). They all go from 1.03-1.08 or something like that, NOT from 1.0 which i have. How on earth am i gona update my game if there isnt any stand-alone patch that takes me from v1.0 to v.1.07 (or 1.08) ????? I found ONE patch that takes me to 1.05 but the expansion requires 1.07!!!! I have looked for a long time now and i can find 1.06-1.07 ITALIAN....but not ****ing 1.05-1.06 or 1.05-1.07!! The official website doesnt even have any patches for the game!! WTF?!??!?!

Im pissed off, they release all kinds of patches but no stand-alone ones, i think its bullshit. Why cant i just go to their site and click on "Download 1.07 italian patch" and thats it`??? WHY MAKE IT SO COMPLICATED???

Steam ftw...autopatch is teh_Shit!


Well, can anyone help me? or have i wasted my money on nothing....

Finally i found one, but i had to do uber-searching to find it. Why cant they just post the patches on the official site? its so dumb...

I was in a similar situation, i did find the patch i needed and updated, but it still wouldn't let me install the expansion because the other one wasn't from the same country, needs to be F.E.A.R English version + EP English Version, or FEAR Italian + EP Italian ... annoying but meh, all i gotta do is go purchase the English version of EP and it's all good .. or at least i think thats how it works, the error was something like that for me :/

oh you think thats bad? I literally have FEAR the US DVD release, but for some reason can't install off of it because of some tiny scratch on the disk. So i go and download FEAR off bittorrent with the intent of using my legit cd key. Well the version i downloaded says its the US version, but goddammit no patches want to work with it. i want to install EX pont!

Yeah i had the same problem i bought FEAR in the UK then i bought the expension here in the Uk yet it says i had the wrong version i had to download the 1.00 to 1.05 patch then the 1.05 to 1.08 it was very annoying having to hunt them down.
