Cant play HL2 games or mods

Ok. I want to play my mods. All my HL2 mods. They wont work. I cant play CS source HL2 or any of the high tech games. The error message is:

Failed to launch DLL: The speciefied procedure can't be found.


HELP ME NOOOW!!! :x

Valve have stated that:

We have found the problem. You get this error if your steam path has a space in it (i.e c:\program files\valve\steam ).

And here's the workaround i posted on the dystopia website:

Create a Desktop shortcut by right clicking on Dystopia in Steam. Then locate the new shortcut on your desktop, right-click and select "Properties". In the "Target" field, it should say something like:

"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 220 -game "C:\program files\steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\dystopia"

Change the "program files" in the -game path to "progra~1" and it should work. eg.
"C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 220 -game "C:\progra~1\steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\dystopia"

But how do liek the people at gmod do it? How can I fix this. Why is bush gay?

ive been having the same dll problem with the hidden:source, even after the update. i tried teddy's fix to no avail.
