Can't play in Counter Strike 1.6

hello,
I recently downloaded CS 1.6 and for some reason whenever i find a server, my game connects to it fine and i can select my team and my man e.g. SAS,GIGN,etc but when my man comes into the game, the server just closes without any error and it comes back to the menu (the new game, servers, etc and that huge pic of those CT men) of CS 1.6. So basically i can't play at all. But when i play halflife on another server it works fine. And also when i make my own server, i can't play in it aswell.

plz help, i don't wanna think that i wasted my money...

Open the console with the ~ key (you may need to enable it in keyboard options) and see what it says in there after you get booted.

Where did you download CS 1.6 from?

i'll say the truth as this is not the steam real site.
i got CS 1.6 from Pacsteam...
But i don't think this should matter...
should it?
And the message that i get is: High Ping, Try later
anyway to fix ecxept by getting a faster internet connection?
