Cant update bios

I have an asus a7v8x-x motherboard. Last time i updated the bios to 1013 it worked fine. I'm trying to update to 1014 and it wont let me. I dont have a floppy drive. I tried using asusupdate, and it gives me all these errors. I tried reinstalling it and it said cannot detect asus motherboard. help.

can you get a lend of a floppy disc drive, or buy a 2nd hand one from a mate or something, they can't be much and I think that thats teh most reliable way of updating the bios. I tried using the asusupdate adn it didn't work either, just use a floppy disc now.

Same for me with the A8N-SLI. So I used a floppy and it worked.

My advice would be not to update the bios unless something is wrong unnecesary bios updates are a waste of time and not worth the risk, i tried to update my bios once and it failed and i had to send my computer in for replacement, not good

It's just that it tends to report incorrect temperatures.

That really doesn't warrant a flashing of bios IMO. Its not something huge or anything.

or use usb stick for boot.

Cant you just use a floppy disc drive out of another computer?
