I don't know how I didn't hear about this until now, but Castle is a new show starring Nathan Fillion (who we love from such things as Firefly and Dr Horrible's Sing-a-Long Blog)

In this show, he plays a successful cop/mystery writer. After a copy-cat-killing based off of one of his books, he starts working closely as a "consultant" with the NYPD, and observing a particular detective as the basis for a new series of his books.

I'm only on the third episode, but it's pretty good so far. Good mysteries, good humor, hot girl, and of course, Nathan Fillion.

Not a terribly original concept, but I've seen every episode so far and genuinely enjoy it. I am, however, not at all an objective source when it comes to things that Nathan Fillion is in. Definitely my man-crush.

I would've got into this show if I didn't have 90 others that I was watching. D:
Is it truly worth getting into though? I mean, Nathan Fillion can make any show worth watching but, if he wasn't in it would it still be decent?

It's... a less than typical show, which I like. You know, there are so many of the CSI shows (and NCIS) that really push the forensic aspect. This one is more about actual kind of murder mystery. Like going through the facts, noticing small things, talking to the people, and etc, so I like it. It's more, I guess, "classic".

I was fairly surprised that the first episode didn't stretch out that serial killer concept for the entire season, like I totally expected it to. They just got it over with for the premiere and established another dynamic right away.

Yeah I was a bit surprised by that, too, because they definitely could have done more with it.

I've been watching Castle for a while now, Nathan Fillion's great on it but the rest of the show is a very basic cop drama.

Still, good show.

Preview lead us to believe Castle gets shot and instead it's the FBI guy that no one gives a shit about? Oh and he ends up fine anyway. And then it ends in the middle of like a goddamn sentence
